In order to improve your TOEFL or IELTS scores, not only should you practice the material but try to listen to different dialects such as those from Canada, the UK, or Australia, since these are regularly featured in the listening test. This can be done through websites such as BBC News. Try to listen to news broadcasts and then make notes about what is being said. Then try to rephrase the report in your own words and then listen again to try to see how accurate you were. Another way to help is to try to listen to TV programs such as National Geographic or Discovery and hide the subtitles and make notes about what you hear. That will help train your ears to catch different accents at different speeds. |

When students come prepared to classes my goal is to set the teaching environment in a way that students can get the most from their studies. The teaching environment is everything so the classes are focused, organized, useful, exciting, interesting and even funny and humorous. Mostly the classes are student focused where each student gets the much needed hands on practice to pass their TOEFL or IELTS exams or just to be successful in their future.
